My 15cm cotton foam core futon has 2 x 5cm layers of 100% Australian cotton either side of 7cm thickness Dunlop brand hi density foam. It is a firm mattress and is ideal for sofa bed or bed mattress.
The strong 12 oz herringbone twill cover is GOTS certified 100% organic cotton. I hand tuff them the traditional method with strong thread. As the futon settles you won’t feel them unlike those stuffed with buttons and such.
This one is more for firm mattress lovers.
All futon mattresses require to be placed on a slatted wood base. They need to breathe, have air under them, or mould can develop if placed straight on the floor.
