shinden - “sacred place”
An exposed 14cm platform style on solid legs, handmade to order by myself on site in my Sunshine Coast Dōjō. This bed frame is in solid 32mm thick wood giving it a very solid aesthetic and presence. The head board was inspired by a decorative fence around a shine I visited in Takayama, Hida Prefecture, one Sakura, Cherry Blossom, viewing season.
I can make it in any standard size, or customise also.

Solid 90mm x 20mm select grade pine slats.
Head board height made to mattress thickness.
Quick and easy assemble.
Finished with environmentally friendly, green star rated low VOC, hard wax stains and clears.
Customisable, can be made higher, lower, wider, no head, etc.
Tables extra, $400 each stained pine.
Hand made to order.
